SEEDS “Workin’ for Wildlife" Rewards Program

All SEEDS members will have the chance to participate in an incentive-based program that will reward participants special recognition and the potential to win hunting and fishing opportunities. The “Workin’ for Wildlife" Rewards Program will be broken into three age groups:

  • youth 5 to 9 years old will participate in the Seedling Level;
  • youth 10 to 13 will participate in the Sapling Level;
  • youth 14 to 17 will participate in the Oak Level.

At each level kids can earn Reward Points for completing tasks from the program menu. All of the tasks are assigned a point value. As a youth advances to next age level, their point level begins anew and the menu of tasks is again completely open to them.

SEEDS members 5 to 9 years old are eligible for the Seedling honor. They reach the Seedling Level once they obtain 40 Reward Points.  The youngsters will receive a certificate and a patch, they will be recognized at local Network banquets, they will receive special recognition on the Network website and in the Network publications, and they will be eligible to win special hunting or fishing trips available only to other SEEDS members who have obtained the Seedling Level.

SEEDS members 10 to 13 years old are eligible for the Sapling honor. They reach the Sapling Level once they obtain 60 Reward Points.  The youngsters will receive a certificate and a patch, they will be recognized at local Network banquets, they will receive special recognition on the Network website and in the Network publications, and they will be eligible to win special hunting or fishing trips available only to other SEEDS members who have obtained the Sapling Level.

SEEDS members 14 to 17 years old are eligible for the Oak honor. They reach Oak Level once they obtain 80 Reward Points. The youngsters will receive a certificate and a patch, they will be recognized at local Network banquets, they will receive special recognition on the Network website and in the Network publications, and they will be eligible to win special hunting or fishing trips available only to other SEEDS members who have obtained the Oak Level.

In addition, the local district SEEDS coordinator or district representative will use the “Workin' for Wildlife" Rewards Program levels to decide which local SEEDS members get to take advantage of opportunities that arise at the district level. For example, if a local farmer decided he wants to host two kids for a deer hunt, the local district may decide to have a drawing among all Sapling Level (and above) SEEDS members in that district. The district can choose from any level they wish, but any donated hunts on the local level must be given out by a drawing among SEEDS members who have obtained one of the three levels in the “Workin’ for Wildlife" Rewards Program.
